Ajay Devgn, whose Himmatwala and Rascals were Box Office desasters, stated that many a times he does come to know while shooting only that the movie will be a flop.
“Eighty per cent of the times I have come to know while shooting that the film won’t work. I have not seen those films during the trial shows. I have not seen Himmatwala and Rascals till today. You get that feel,” Ajay Devgn said while interacting with media.
However Ajay Devgn has a lot of expectations for the film Himmatwala and that was the reason he agreed to be a part of a cult film that was being re-made. Ajay Devgn reprised the character that Jitendra essayed in the 1983 blockbuster Himmatwala.
“I thought Himmatwala will be shot the way Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai was shot in retro style. What Sajid Khan did is he took an 80’s film and shot it in 80’s style only. Himmatwala would have worked if it would have been made in today’s styling and punch lines but it went back in time,” informed Ajay Devgn.
Coming to his next, Rascals that was released in the year 2011, well the film proved to be a huge lead down for the audiences and fell flat at the Box Office. Rascals was directed by the King Of Comedy, David Dhawan,
Again while shooting for Rascals, Ajay Devgn, knew that the film wold not do well. Now instead of walking out of the project Ajay preferred to fulfill the commitment.
“An actor can’t move out of the project. How can one do that as lot of money and stakes involved. You have to understand this that you have goofed up and now you have to suffer. You can’t say you are not doing the project as the producer has already spent Rs 15 to 20 crore on it before starting the film. It is unethical. There are times when the script is something and the film turns out to be something else,” he Ajay Devgn.
Having said this, we wonder if Ajay Devgn gets at indication of way the film will perform at the Box Office then what went wrong with Raju Chacha?
Ajay Sir we are waiting for an answer.
