Karan Johar released the music of his forthcoming film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK) in Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, London on June 11. One more official launch is scheduled at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in Dubai on June 16 by Karan along with Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji amidst the global media.
Once the music of a film is launched, one starts seeing its musical promos on television. Karan Johar has decided not to follow this oft repeated norm. He feels his film’s music is all about soul and energy. It takes one on a journey that like life has many twists, turns and variety. He wants the audience to discover his songs and not just experience them through the musical promos on television. Already there is a huge hype surrounding his film and he doesn’t want to disappoint his audience one bit.
On June 23 that’s exactly a week later from its music release at the IIFA, he plans to air the music promos on television.
The music of the film is given by the trio of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. Shafqat Amanat Ali, the lead singer of a Pakistani band, Fuzon marks his debut in Bollywood with this film.
Karan Johar has already chosen an unusual Bollywood norms defying theme for KANK and he is following the same regarding his musical promos on television.
