MUMBAI: Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest film Traffic Signal, which got delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, is finally complete. The film is scheduled to release in January next year.
Bhandarkar says, “My production team had to face a lot of difficulties due to the vanishing act of a few eunuchs and beggars. Cancellation of three days of shooting has put a spanner of more than Rs 2 million (Rs 20 lakhs) in losses. The budget of my movie, which was around Rs 40 million (Rs 4 crore), has now increased. Apart from one lavni song, my entire shooting is complete and I am relieved man now.”
The Page 3 director is on his way to London and Berlin, where his movies Corporate and Page 3 are beign screened at the Rain Dance Film Festival and the Berlin Asia Pacific Film Festival.
“I am planning to release Traffic Signal in January. I’m confident that like Corporate, Traffic Signal will table atleast Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crore) before the release,” says Bhandarkar confidently.
Traffic Signal stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Ranvir Shorey, Neetu Chandra and Kunal Khemu.
