Distributor relinquishes Bhagam Bhag rights

MUMBAI: Nikita Arts, one of the film distributors from the eastern circuit, has given up the rights of Bhagam Bhag. This is said to be the result of the business garnered by the Akshay Kumar – Salman Khan starrer Jaan-E-Mann, which fell below expectations.

Nikita Arts’ Naresh Jain, who had acquired the rights of the film for Kolkata says, “I have burnt my fingers badly and have incurred heavy losses in my previous few releases. I don’t want to name the films, as I want to wipe it off my memory like a bad dream. I have earlier given up the rights of Apna Sapna Money Money and now Bhagam Bhag.”

Bhagam Bhag stars Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Paresh Rawal and Govinda. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Pvt. Ltd. in association with Suniel Shetty’s Popcorn Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is slated for a 2007 release.
