Aamir Khan is considered marketing wizard and rightfully so. But there is one other Khan who is known to come up with different marketing strategies with all his films. And we definitely are talking about Shah Rukh Khan.
During Chennai Express, he used the graphical train to unveil the trailer of the film and for Happy New Year, he resorted to Whats App to release the trailer. But it seems SRK doesn’t want anyone to think he takes social media marketing’s help to promote his film. Recently, he announced he never marketed his films on social media platforms.

If that is so, what about the What’s App integration for HNY? The strategy was to reach out to the consumers who use the social media messaging app. The deal was, the users had to give a missed call to a number and the trailer video was sent to their app. If that’s not marketing, what can we call that? But guess Shah Rukh Khan has different way of considering social media. He considers Twitter and Facebook as social media platforms perhaps and hence the reply.
But still, SRK should have done his homework right before commenting likewise.
