BIG FM partners for Kollywood film: Tamil Ma

MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, Chennai has entered into radio partnership with Kollywood movie Tamil Ma, starring actor Jeeva and newcomer Anjali.


The music album of Tamil Ma was premiered on 7 September on FM’s Breakfast show – BIG Vanakkam, with RJ Speed Dheena. The show also featured an interview with actor Jeeva.


BIG 92.7 FM has on-air plans for the premiere promotion. The station has begun a six-day build up of the music of Tamil Ma where each song from the album will first be heard on BIG 92.7 FM. The radio station will also broadcast trivia about the movie and will also air radio edits of the movie.


Apart from actor Jeeva’s interview, the station will feature interviews of the movie crew like actress Anjali, director Ram and playback singer Shankar Mahadevan during the music premiere. The movie crew will share their experience while shooting and extensively about the making of the film and their experiences while shooting. BIG FM will also air on-air contests where listeners will get a chance to win gifts and to interact with the stars.

Tamil Ma is about a middle class youth, played by Jeeva whose interest for Tamil language makes him pursue his graduation degree in Tamil but post his graduation he comes to know that the society looks down upon him as he is not a graduate in English medium. The movie is about his struggles to lead a normal life. The movie stress on the fact of being a Tamilian loving his mother tongue in spite of having a modern outlook to life and speaking mostly in English.
