MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging and Chennai based Prasad Corp have formed a strategic alliance to provide digital post production and restoration services to Indian, Hollywood and international film companies.
“We have an extensive set of tools for post production and restoration that we can apply to our various project and the Prasad facility can handle standard def, 2K and 4K and it shares our own commitment to excellence. In addition to bringing our combined skills to each other’s projects, the time difference between the two companies will allow us to work on projects twenty four hours a day,” said Warner Bros. Technical Operations executive vice president emerging technology Chuck Dages.
Prasad Corporation Ltd’s Sai Prasad added, “We are excited about this strategic alliance with Warner Bros. as this is going to enable us to share their considerable knowledge and experience from the global market. This will enable us to add considerable value to both Indian and International projects and most importantly, Hollywood projects.”
The two companies will be able to transfer content between them on a dedicated line. Prasad has begun working with Motion Picture Imaging in restoration of How the West Was Won, originally shot in Cinerama.
Recently, Eros International also entered into an alliance with Charles Darby to set up a visual effects studio called EyeQube with an investment of $5 million.
