Another great tragedy has hit our very own Asha Tai hard at heart. She had previously lost a daughter and was recently informed about the death of her son Hemant Bhosle at Scotland. Not many of us were aware that Hemant was suffering a terminal disease of late. He on September 26th finally lost his battle of life to the disease and left us.
Asha Bhosle was not informed about her son until recently as she was scheduled to give a live performance in a concert organized in Singapore. Many of her relatives and well wishers believed that given her age she was not strong enough to hold herself when she will hear about her son’s death.

After a lot of speculation Ashaji was finally informed about Hemant’s death which left her quite shattered. It was a sad co-incidence that the last time when Ashaji was performing at Singapore her daughter had attempted and killed herself in a suicide with a loaded gun on October 08, 2012.
Hemant was a music composer by profession and like the other members of his family, he too was great and famous in the industry of music. He did not produce a lot of albums, but the works that he composed are till now considered as some of the best ever-green hits. He is known for his works in films like Anil Sharma’s Shradhanjali, Eshmayeel Shroff’s Agar and Taxi Taxi. He was lucky to have fulfilled his biggest and most sought after dream of bringing his mother and aunt Lata Mangeshkar together in the song ‘Laayee Kahaan Ae Zindagi’.
We hope his soul rests in peace. We offer condolence to the Bhosle family in these times of darkness.
