At an event called ‘Tamasha Chemistry Meter’, the duo interacted with media. Both Deepika and Ranbir made candid confessions about their Bollywood journey and the movie. One such question was asked to Ranbir about the expectations he has with movie at the box office. If everyone is following Ranbir’s career, he gave back-to-back three flops since last year- ‘Besharam’, ‘Roy’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’.
Not being the usual shy person, Ranbir got very real and said “My life’s very important film was Saawariya which was my first film. Even that was a big disaster. My last three films flopped at the box office. There is a huge pressure because we don’t make films for ourselves. We make movies for our audience. My fans who have trusted me were disappointed in the movies as they thought they expected too much as Ranbir is a good actor. But they didn’t think it was worth spending their money. My only motive is to do good films and acting with every film. My method of choosing the work and films is still the same. It is not like last year I acted a little and this year I am doing it better. I give my heart into every film. I try my best to work hard. After that, the film’s destiny is not in my hands. I can only pray that with Tamasha people can again start believing in me. I am passionate about acting. So, it doesn’t matter if the movie works or not. I’ll keep working hard on every movie.”
