MUMBAI: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Saregama India’s co-production Chenab Gandhi will go on floors by November – December this year. The film was earlier slated to go on floors in April this year but will now go on floors only by this year end.
A source close to the development tells Businessofcinema.com, “In February end, after Hurman S Baweja was replaced by John Abraham, the shooting dates had to be reworked and rescheduled for this year end, as John is shooting two other films before this.”
Chenab Gandhi is a period film directed by debutant Vibhu Puri, who has earlier assisted Bhansali on a few films. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan is lead roles.
As was first reported by Businessofcinema.com, this film will be made on a budget of Rs 350 million (Rs 35 crores). It is being readied for a 2010-end release.
