Whistling Woods International to launch in Hyderabad

MUMBAI: The second Whistling Woods International Institute in India will be launched in Hyderabad. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has provided over 20 acres of land near Jubilee Hills to Whistling Woods International to set up its facility.

Whistling Woods International enjoys the support of leading film personalities and corporates including Anand Mahindra who is the Chairman of Whistling Woods International Governing Council. Among the 350 students currently studying at the Institute more than 20% are from abroad.

Ghai was all praise for late former Chief Minister YS Reddy who had met him in July and encouraged him to set up a world class institute in Hyderabad. Late YSR wanted the younger generation of Andhra Pradesh to be professionally trained in all kinds of media arts and technology to compete globally. Ghai said, "Knowledge is much more important than a piece of land to groom the next generation according to Mr. YS Reddy."

Soon after YSRs nod, the Government machinery sprung into action and allotted 20 acres land near Jubilee hills to WWI. The possession of the land was received on 15 October, 2009.

Ghai said, "Whistling Woods International & Mukta Arts are grateful to the Government and the people of Andhra Pradesh to help us set up a world class institute – Whistling Woods International- in Hyderabad. We promise to stand committed."

Whistling Woods International has already opened its branch in Spain with the help of the Government of Spain. Whistling Woods International is all set to replicate WWI’s education model in various states of India and abroad like UK and Singapore.
