Hong Kong’s Far West Entertainment looks for Indian girl for pop band

Mumbai: India’s dream to take the center stage and be in the spotlight in singing will come true with the help of Indian music composer Shamir Tandon. Far West Entertainment has approached Tandon to select that one girl from India who can sing her way to be a part of an international pop band.

Far West Entertainment is a Hong Kong based company that intends to launch a girl band with five ace talented girls who will sing in English and one member each will be selected from Japan, Korea, China, Philippines and India. “This is going to be making of a group like Spice Girls, the only difference is that all the girls will be Asian” says Tandon.

Auditions of female singers will be in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. “I have to select five singers from India, and then send them to Hong Kong for a month’s rigorous training and after which one of them will be chosen to be a part of the band. This is the set pattern for all the countries participating,” explains Tandon.

The auditions in Mumbai will take place on July 31st and August 1st; in Kolkata on August 7th and 8th; in Delhi on August 14th and 15th and in Bangalore on August 21st and 22nd. The finals will take place in Mumbai on September 1st and 2nd and all this will be telecasted on Zee Café.
