MUMBAI: Actor Aamir Khan too has not been spared by the viral bug. He has had to cancel promotions of his production Peepli [Live] at the last-minute as he is down with fever.

Khan has been travelling across the globe to promote the movie, which is directed by debutant Anusha Rizvi.

Peepli [Live] is a satire on the farmers’ suicides and is also written by Rizvi. The film stars Omkar Das Manikpuri, Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers.

Peepli [Live] is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and is slated to release on 13 August.
