MUMBAI: John Abraham is all set to play the role of a womanizer in debutant director Kapil Sharma’s film Ishaan.
Earlier the film was being projected as a John- Chitrangada starrer. However, as per information available with Businessofcinema.com, actress Prachi Desai is also a pivotal part of the cast. Someone close to it has described the film as “Bachna Ae Haseenon on steroids.”
According to information, John – who really liked Prachi’s performance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai – strongly recommended her as part of the harem of houris whom he will date in Ishaan.
The search is also on for other pretty damsels for John to court on screen!
It’s learnt that John, who has so far played the shy lover-boy (Dostana, Jhootha Hi Sahi) and his producer Shrishti Behl Arya, have decided to pull out all stops to give John the total stud-on-a-rampage image in Ishaan.
When contacted, Arya was cautious in her declarations on the project. She says, “Somewhere it was reported that the film is called The Re-education Of Ishaan Sabharwal. That sounded more like a joke than anything else. Coincidentally he was shooting with Chitrangada for Desi Boyz in London. We’ll be sitting down to discuss the strategy on the film and his character. Luckily for us he isn’t paired with Chitrangada in Desi Boyz. She’s with Akshay Kumar so Chitrangada-John will be a new pair in our film.”
Arya informs that Ishaan is the tentative title of the film. While she clams up on this, it is reliably learnt that they’re looking for a hotter more sensuous title!
