MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights of Prakash Jha’s forthcoming multi-starrer Aarakshan for select territories.

According to information available with Businessofcinema.com, the studio will distribute Aarakshan in the Bombay, Delhi – UP and Nizam territories in India as well as in the overseas market.

Aarakshan stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpai. The movie is based on the policies of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. The film is slated to release on 12 August, 2011.

Post Aarakshan, Reliance Entertainment will release the Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard directed by Siddique on 31 August, 2011. 

Reliance Entertainment is also gearing up to release the Ajay Devgn starrer Singham on 22 July, 2011. The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Kajal Aggarwal.
