OK Jaanu Trailer Out – A Refreshing And New Tale Of Love

The trailer of the upcoming Dharma Production’s love story, OK Jaanu, is finally out!!

It is the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster OK Kanmani, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and directed by Shaadi Ali. The movie is a take on modern day romances and live-in relationships in big cities of India. The trailer gives us a glimpse in their mindset, where the two want to spend time together, before moving to different cities to pursue their own careers separately. Their landlord is played by Naseeruddin Shah.

OK Kanmani got the title of a cult movie and was watched and loved across regions of India. The chemistry between the lead pair of OK Kanmani, Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon, was sizzling as well as so real that you can relate to it almost immediately.

Coming to OK Jaanu, the magic and sizzle that Aditya and Shraddha created in Aashiqui 2 with their chemistry, audiences were waiting to see the two together on-screen again. And there, OK Jaanu was announced with the two in leading roles. The excitement was further fuelled when the poster was out and now we have the trailer and you can judge for yourself.

When the trailer began and the amazing music of AR Rahman (he is the composer of both the films – OK Jaanu and OK Kanmani; the music has been reprised in some songs and the others are newly created for OK Jaanu) and the peppy music of OK Kanmani’s Mental Manadhil is played and you can’t help but miss seeing Dulquer and Nithya and be fondly reminded of them on the motorbike. And but of course, when it is the official remake of the film, even the dialogues and setting of the film reminds you OK Kanmani.

This trailer, more than anything, if you have watched OK Kanmani, will make you miss that movie more than anything else.

All said and observed, OK Jaanu does look promising and Aditya and Shraddha’s palpable chemistry seen briefly in the trailer is hopefully tapped better in the film. As we all know, the story of the film is truly refreshing and new. Let’s get ready to fall in love again when the movie hits the theatres on January 17, 2017!! Figure Kar Lenge inke saath!!
