As earlier we reported, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt received a threat call from an unidentified person on February 26. Mahesh Bhatt received death threats for daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan after which he filed a police complaint on Wednesday at Juhu police station. Well, the good news is it’s a relief for the Bhatt family as the caller has been arrested by the MH and UP police. As per an entertainment portal, the culprit named Bablu Srivastava is currently under custody.
Mahesh Bhatt took to twitter to share the news and wrote, “A bolt from the blue in the form of an extortion call & threat to my family was nipped in the bud by the MH & UP police in tandem.Gratitude!”

An unidentified caller has demanded Rs 50 lakh from Mahesh Bhatt and has threatened that if the said amount will not reach on time, he will kill Alia and his wife Soni Razdan. After Bhatt didn’t take the call seriously, he even received a WhatsApp message that reads, ““If you fail to do so, I will fire several rounds of bullets in your daughter Alia and wife Soni.”
Well, this is not the first time that the Bhatt family has received such threat and calls. Earlier in 2014, Mahesh Bhatt had received same threat calls and the police had also arrested the culprits. Bhatt has always stood strong and faced such calls.
