Salman Khan has received many death threats in past but this time, someone has openly threatened to kill.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan appeared in a Jodhpur court on Thursday for hearing in the blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases. While he was in Jodhpur, Punjab based gangster Lawrence Bishnoi threatened to kill him. It so happened when he was brought to a local court on production warrant.
According to Hindustan Times, Lawrence was brought from Faridkot jail in Punjab to Jodhpur court over murdering a businessman named Vasudev Israni. However, Lawrence in his statement has alleged that when Vasudev was killed he was in police custody. While talking to reporters over the case at the Jodhpur court, Lawrence issued a threat to kill Salman Khan.
“I will murder him (Salman) in Jodhpur only. I will flee from police custody whenever I want but I am not escaping from custody anytime soon,” Lawrence said.
“Now, if the police want me to do some major crime, I shall kill Salman Khan and that too in Jodhpur.”
Reacting to his comments, Police Commissioner Ashok Rathore said, “We are aware of the gangster’ intentions to kill Salman Khan, but we have already made security arrangements with regard to Salman Khan’s safety.”
As per media reports, Lawrence is a gangster who is involved in over 20 cases of murder, extortion, snatching and more. He had hired shooters from Punjab and was also behind the shooting of a sarpanch in Sikar. He is reportedly expanding his gang in Rajasthan.
Also, Lawrence Bishnoi is from Bishnoi community that had brought up Salman’s blackbuck poaching case. Salman Khan is a villain for the community.
