Sanya Malhotra who is just 3 films old in Bollywood feels fortunate to have worked with the directors and actors she has worked so far.
The actress has worked with Aamir Khan, Nitesh Tiwari in her first film Dangal, followed by Vishal Bhardwaj as the director for her second film Pataakha and Ayushmann Khurrana in her third film Badhaai Ho.
Sanya made an impact with her wrestling act in Dangal as Babita Phogat. Her second film, Pataakha, had her in a completely de-glam look, but it did not really find a connect with the audience.
Sanya has worked with some of the huge names in the industry the and when asked her about it she said, “I am never happy to see myself on screen. I am always picking on something or the other about the way I have performed a scene. I take a day or two to be okay with it. When I saw Badhaai Ho, I felt I could have done certain scenes better. But I have to stop being so serious about these things because I can’t change anything. What I see, people can’t. Being so judgmental and beating myself up over my work is hard on me and my family. I would rather learn from my mistakes. I am very fortunate to work with amazing directors and actors so early in my career.”
Sanya played 2 diversly different character in her last 2 films, Patakha, which was directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and Badhaai Ho directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
In Patakha the actress played the role of a girl from a very small Village of Rajasthan, which is based on an acclaimed short story by renowned writer Charan Singh Pathik. And in Badhaai Ho she plays Delhi girl who knows whats she wants in her life.
On the work front, her next film starring Nawazuddin Siddique, directed by Ritesh Batra ‘Photograph’ will be screened at Sundance Film Festival.
