Flatulence:
• Flatulence is better known as passing wind or passing gas
• Excessive gas in stomach and intestine is released in form of:
o Flatulence
o Burping
• It can become an embarrassing problem if one passes gas frequently
Symptoms to look for:
• Fullness in stomach
• Abdominal pain
• Belching
Causes:
• Rapid chewing or drinking leads to swallowing of excess air
• Carbonated drinks
• Lactase deficiency in the body
Natural home remedy using dry ginger, asafoetida and black salt:
1. Take 1 glass of warm water
2. Add a pinch of dry ginger powder
3. Add a pinch of asafoetida powder
4. Add a pinch of black salt
5. Mix well
6. Drink once a day to get relief
Natural home remedy using black pepper, dry ginger and green cardamoms:
1. Take 1 glass of warm water
2. Add 1 tsp of black pepper
3. Add 1 tsp of dry ginger powder
4. Crush 2 green cardamoms to powder
5. Add ½ tsp of this cardamom powder
6. Mix well
7. Drink 1 hr after every meal
Natural home remedy using ginger and lemon juice:
1. Cut fresh ginger into slices
2. Soak these slices in lemon juice for 1 hr
3. Chew a few slices after each meal
Tips:
• Chew peppermint after every meal
o Menthol soothes the digestive muscles
o It reduces flatulence, bloating and abdominal pain
• Avoid consuming:
o Carbonated drinks
o Broccoli
o Cabbage
o Beans
o Cauliflower
o Bread and cheese
• Chew food slowly and steadily as this makes it easier to digest
