MUMBAI: Abhishek Bachchan was the latest Bollywood celebrity to be spotted at the Mumbai airport.

Clad in white, the son of Bollywood’s Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek was spotted taking off for the Marrakech Film Festival. The Indian contingent will be there in full force at the film festival, including Abhishek’s father Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar. Johar’s three films will even be screened at the International Film Festival in Marrakech, to commemorate 100 Years of Indian Cinema.

Abhishek, whose career received a fillip thanks to Mani Rantnam’s ‘Guru’, considers the man a “cinematic genius”. The handsome actor even urges movie lovers to grab a copy of film critic Baradwaj Rangan’s book “Conversations With Mani Ratnam” and read it.

Abhishek recently tweeted about his new found love for reading, and the latest book on his nightstand, “I have just finished reading ‘Conversations With Mani Ratnam’ by Baradwaj Rangan. If you enjoy cinema, then you must try and get a copy of the book. A great insight into the mind of someone I consider a cinematic genius.”

Abhishek has been part of three of Mani Ratnam’s films – ‘Yuva’ (2004), ‘Guru’ (2007) and 2010 film ‘Raavan’. Ratnam, 56, is known for his landmark Tamil movies like ‘Mouna Raagam’, ‘Nayagan’, Anjali’ and ‘Thalapathi’. And who can forget his epic love sagas like ‘Roja’ and ‘Dil Se’, and his black tragedy ‘Bombay’.
