MUMBAI: The multi-talented Priyanka Chopra says she may lend her voice to Bollywood films as a playback singer, soon. The actress had recently launched her first single ‘In My City’ which has been widely appreciated.
Says Priyanka, “Vishal-Shekhar and Salim-Sulaiman had asked me to sing but I was shy. Playback singing should happen soon. I am just waiting for my album to come out!”
Stepping into the international arena with ‘In My City’ featuring Will.I.Am, next, Priyanka Chopra is to release her second single ‘Exotic’ with rapper Pitbull. ‘Exotic’ should be out in a few months, said the actress.
As of now, the 30-year-old star is busy with completing her many movie assignments. The shoot for ‘Zanjeer’ remake is in its final stages. The actress will also be seen in ‘Gunday’ and ‘Krrish 3’, this year. Priyanka Chopra has also been preparing for boxer Mary Kom’s biopic, for which the shooting would begin in June. “Mary Kom is very involved with the biopic. It is a very challenging role,” she explained.
As for the Best Actress award she bagged at TOIFA, Priyanka says, “Awards come and go. Some I have won this year and some I have not. Jhilmil was a very special role for me. I just met a lady and she was crying. She has an autistic child and was really touched by my performance. It is gratifying as an actor.”
