MUMBAI: Rumours have been flooding the net that Salman Khan, who has been hosting celebrity reality show Bigg Boss since the last three seasons, is set to be replaced by Shah Rukh Khan in the seventh season.
Salman Khan has been the notoriously entertaining host of ‘Bigg Boss’ and the star’s immense fan following has made the show extremely popular. In the last three seasons, the actor has been linked with a couple of the female contestants and also has had a few verbal arguments with some contestants on the show.
However, Salman is busy shooting for his next film ‘Mental’, which has already been delayed due to his court hearings and the treatment of the nerve disorder that the actor suffers from. Thus, he might choose not to do the show this year.
‘Mental’ is scheduled for release early next year, and ‘Bigg Boss Season 7’ is likely to go on air by the end of this year, which makes it a very thin possibility for the star to take up the show.
However, to hold the popularity of the show, the makers are rumoured to have approached Shah Rukh Khan to host the show.
Earlier, actor Shah Rukh Khan has replaced Amitabh Bachchan as host of the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He was also a host for a quiz show called Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? Will Shah Rukh fit into the Big Boss home? We will have to wait and watch!
