MUMBAI: Eid is when Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again,’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ with Shah Rukh Khan will lock horns at the box-office.
With stiff competition around and multiple films releasing on same day, there usually is a war happening to out master each other. Akshay Kumar however, prefers to be calm and welcoming about him clashing with Shah Rukh Khan on Eid.
In an event launching the first look of his upcoming film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’, Akshay Kumar was upbeat and calm about his film releasing with ‘Chennai Express’.
“I see this in a positive way. Eid is a big day, big enough to accommodate two films. There is no point thinking too much over it,” Akshay Kumar said while unveiling the first look of his film.
Also present were Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, his co-stars from the film.
Akshay Kumar reprises the role played by Emraan Hashmi in the prequel, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’. While Akshay Kumar agrees, that this is different from all his previous roles, he never tried to borrow anything from Emraan Hashmi’s character.
We surely would agree to your point Akshay Kumar. You may have an impeccable sense of comic timing, but it’s time to get serious. You did that quite well in ‘Special 26’ and we just hope you shine bright in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’.
As far as your views on two films releasing on Eid, we would say, it’s really humble of you to think generous. At the end of the day, its business.
