MUMBAI: Bollywood’s “serial kisser” Emraan Hashmi seems to have shed his tag, and could quite well be tagged a superstar today. Emraan recently revealed why he feels his latest film, comedy ‘Ghanchakkar’ will be a game-changer for the industry.
Spotted at a patchwork shoot to wrap up ‘Ghanchakkar’, which releases later this month, Emraan was seen once again in a quirky costume. At the music launch for the film, which also stars Vidya Balan, Emraan was seen in a polka dotted pyjama suit, while this time he opted for a bright purple kurta and jeans, and had a trademark ‘Ghanchakkar’ ponytail in place.
At the song shoot, Emraan also managed to tell us that the quirky comedy is a unique project in his filmography, and may well emerge as a game changing film for the industry.
Said Emraan, with the utmost tone of seriousness: “The space of the film is very different. It is very unique as far as my films go. I think it`s a huge game changer as far as cinema in general goes.”
“The way we have seen comedies… ‘Ghanchakkar’ is going to change that around and it is going to entertain you to the hilt!” added the former “kiss ready” star.
Emraan, who plays a Maharashtrian con man turned amnesia patient in the film, promises that the audience will be “rolling on the floor laughing” while watching it.
