BOX OFFICE: ‘Fukrey’ Sees A Steady Week

Drama-comedy film ‘Fukrey’, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, has seen a decent run at the ticketing windows in it's opening week.

MUMBAI: Drama-comedy film ‘Fukrey’, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, has seen a decent run at the ticketing windows in it’s opening week.

‘Fukrey’, which stars Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda and Priya Anand in leading roles, managed to open with decent collections of Rs 27.5 million (Rs 2.75 crore) net on Day 1. Saturday and Sunday- Day 2 and Day 3 were even better, with collections in the range of approximately Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crore) net and Rs 38.4 million (Rs 3.84 crore) net.

The first weekend total for ‘Fukrey’ was in the range of Rs 95.9 million (Rs 9.59 crore net).Over the weekdays the film remained steady with 7 day collections in the range of Rs 178 million (Rs 17.8 crore) net.

In its second weekend the trend looks positive, and the film is picking up.
