KOLKATA: Looks like Vidya Balan has fallen in love with the city of Kolkata after her role in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’ last year. She was, over the weekend, spotted at two events in the city.
The first event was for children affected by cerebral palsy, organised at the iconic Town Hall. Vidya Balan, dressed in a graceful saree, interacted with the various children, who were very happy to see her. The ‘Paa’ actress too seemed genuinely happy to be there with the children.
Musician Anjan Dutta too was present and he played a special song dedicated to the children composed by himself for the occasion.
The second event Vidya Balan attended was that of a launch of a Rabindra Sangeet album by her friend Sohini Mukhopadhyay (Paula). The actress, who is well-versed in Bengali, and even speaks the language at home, said, “Time and again, I have been fascinated by Rabindra Sangeet.”
It’s nice that Vidya Balan is keeping the bond with the city of Kolkata going even after the film has ended. But with Sujoy Ghosh trying to get ‘Kahaani 2’ going, it may not be long before Vidya Balan finds herself in the city again.
