MUMBAI: The week has turned out to be quite a happy time for Bollywood’s star studded Bachchan family. Not only was it Diwali – the festival of happiness, wealth and prosperity that the family celebrated in style; but also the first ever birthday of the newest, cutest addition to their household: Aaradhya Bachchan.
While recently grandfather Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th Birthday was brought in with a humungous bash with the who’s who of Bollywood making an appearance; Mother Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s birthday was no low key affair either – what with the french ambassador Francois Richier conferring an honour upon the actress; In a stark contrast baby Aaradhya’s first birthday was kept very private and small.
However, the gift the little darling received was nothing close to small.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan went all out and bought a flashy red mini cooper luxury car for his princess Aaradhya. The proud grand parents Amitabh and Jaya were spotted driving into their bungalow in the one year old’s swanky gift.
Sr. Bachchan later tweeted, “Aaradhya’s 1st birthday! Just family and the silence peace and quiet after many hectic evenings … your blessings and love!”
For fans who love to get a glimpse of the baby Bachchan, Big B even posted pictures from the day: “With her parents on her 1st….Aaradhya on her 1st birthday with her Father … thank you all for the blessings and love.”
Two days before their own little wonder’s birthday, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan were spotted by our lens men, sharing their happiness with other children on Children’s Day: November 14, 2012.
The family also hosted a very grand Diwali party at their bungalow Pratiksha which was attended by Bollywood bigwigs like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar.
