Aatma Is About Marital Abuse: Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu tweets about her next upcoming film saying that 'Aatma' is so much more than just horror of the supernatural.

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s bong bombshell Bipasha Basu, is now on her fourth film in the horror genre after the ‘Raaz’ series and ‘Rakht’.

The actress who seems to have developed a mastery over the genre, tweets, “Aatma the film, isn’t just about Horror of the Supernatural, but also horror of the fear of losing a loved one and also horror of marital abuse.”

‘Aatma’ directed by Suparn Verma, is a story of a single mother who is haunted by the ghost of her dead abusive husband. Her daughter is repeatedly possessed into attempting to kill herself by the ghost of her father.

Bipasha Basu who is paired opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui for this film, was nominated for the Best Actress in a Negative role for her exceptional performance in ‘Raaz 3’. Co-star Nawazuddin received a wide critical appreciation for his flawless performance in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Talaash’.

Produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, ‘Aatma’ will hit the screens on March 22, 2013.
