MUMBAI: When Arjun Kapoor decided to party on his birthday last week, and invite a host of Bollywood’s top young stars, little did he know he would be starting a trend of sorts.
Pictures of ‘Ishaqzaade’ star Arjun Kapoor’s birthday bash were splashed all across the media, and fans were treated to minute descriptions and blow-by-blow account of what transpired that night. But director Abhishek Kapoor’s private party at his residence last night seemed to take the cake!
The usually reticent ‘Gattu’ aka Abhishek Kapoor hosted a grand party for his closest friends. Seen at the big bash were his pet ‘Kai Po Che’ boys Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav with their respective better halves. Sushant seemed to be the centre of every woman’s attention, and posed for pictures with his girlfriend, designer Niharika Khan and another female friend.
Filmmaker Rohan Sippy and Bollywood biggie Siddharth Roy Kapur too put in an appearance, as did Abhishek’s good friend Arjun Rampal, who had starred in his cult classic ‘Rock On!!’ Sadly, his other ‘Rock On!!’ star Farhan Akhtar was missing in action.
Other celebrities included in the guest list were writer Chetan Bhagat (on whose novel ‘Kai Po Che’ was based), Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Niharika Khan, Cyrus Sahukar and Arunoday Singh.
