Adlabs pockets Dulha Mil Gaya rights

MUMBAI: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dulha Mil Gaya has been acquired by Adlabs for overall distribution, including the overseas and domestic theatrical rights, home video and television.

Sources say the film has been acquired for close to Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores). Dulha Mil Gaya also stars Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan.

Adlabs’ COO film distribution Sunir Kheterpal neither confirms nor denies the acquisition cost but states, “Dulha Mil Gaya is an SRK starrer film with a great script, good music, nice star cast and the film is releasing on 12 October on Eid, so isn’t this a very enterprising bet at whatever cost?”

The film is only a third complete so far, and is scheduled to have its second shooting spell in Trinidad from 5 May to 6 June 2007. The film is being produced by Vivek Vaswani and directed by Mudassar Aziz (writer of Zindaggi Rocks). Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions is presenting the film.

With Dulha Mil Gaya, Shah Rukh Khan will have three back to back releases – Yash Raj’s Chak De releases on 10 August, 2007; Dulha Mil Gaya releases on 12 October, 2007 and Khan’s home production Om Shanti Om will also release by the end of this year or early next year.
