MUMBAI: Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s Adlabs Films has posted a net profit of Rs 910 million (Rs 91 crores), which is an increase of 222 per cent over the 15 month period ended 30 June, 2007.
The company’s consolidated revenues grew by 226 per cent to Rs 4.28 billion (Rs 428 crores), whereas EBIDTA grew by 164 per cent to Rs 134 crore over the 15 month period.
Revenues across all divisions of the company logged strong growth in the year. Adlabs’ film production and distribution business saw a total income growth of 789 per cent to Rs 1.50 billion (Rs 150 crores) this year.
On the other hand, the exhibition business grew by 183 per cent to Rs 1.14 billion (Rs 114 crores) and at 105 screens became the largest cinemas chain in the country. Its film processing and services division recorded a 43 per cent increase at Rs 960 million (Rs 96 crores) over the preceding year.
Adlabs Films chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty said, “We are very encouraged by the performance this year. All segments have shown strong growth. We expecting this period of high income growth to continue as we have aggressive plans in all business segments.â€
