MUMBAI: The fifth season of celebrity stunt show, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, is all set to see a new host – action hero Ajay Devgn. After hosting the first two seasons and the fourth one of India’s Fear Factor, Akshay Kumar has excused himself from the show on account of his wife Twinkle Khanna’s pregnancy. She is due in September and he wants to be with her.

 

Will the show be the same with Ajay Devgn or will he take it to the next level? Akshay is hailed as the original action star and has been a crucial element of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ since its inception. On the other hand, Ajay’s experience with TV was as a judge of a ‘Rock N Roll’, a dance reality show that aired in 2008. He hosted the show with wife Kajol and mother-in-law Tanuja and got an average response from the viewers. But maybe, hosting an action-oriented show will be more up his street!

 

Reports had suggested that John Abraham and Ajay Devgn were being considered, but it seems that the producers have made their decision. “Yes, I’m in talks to host ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. I would love to be a part of it if things work out,” Ajay Devgn confirmed.
