MUMBAI: Actor turned producer Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions, which is presenting Viveck Vaswani’s Dulha Mil Gaya starring Shah Rukh Khan, is ramping up its film production plans.
The company is all set to launch three more films in the near future. According to sources close to the development, Maverick Productions is looking at signing Shiney Ahuja and Esha Deol for their next venture.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Maverick Production film affairs chief operating officer (COO) Yusuf Sheikh says, “We are considering film production on a large scale and plans are to launch three more film projects apart from Dulha Mil Gaya.â€Â
On being queried whether Shiney Ahuja and Esha Deol have been approached for Maverick’s next production, he adds, “We are having discussions with them at the moment but nothing has been finalised. It’s too early to make an announcement about the projects as they are still in the process of being finalized.â€Â
Maverick Productions had earlier tried its hand in television production with the daily soap Kulvaddhu on Sony TV. However, the show was axed from the channel thus making it a short-lived venture. Ever since that, Maverick is focusing on film production with keen interest.
