Ashtavinayak signs Arshad Warsi for three films

MUMBAI: After signing Kareena Kapoor for a movie deal, Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision has now roped in Arshad Warsi for a three film deal.

Warsi says, “The three films deal with genres like romance, action and thriller drama and will be made over a couple of years. We will decide on the scripts and directors mutually.”

Apart from the three film deal, Warsi is also doing Golmaal Returns with Ashtavinayak, which is being directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade along with Kareena Kapoor and Anjana Sukhnani.

Speaking about his character in Golmaal Returns, he says, “Golmaal Returns has absolutely no connection with the first film. I play a cop in the film and it’s not a sequel in that sense.”

The other projects in Warsi’s kitty include Ashok Thakeria’s Dhamaal, directed by Indra Kumar; Anil Kapoor’s Shortcut, Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti, Vivek Agnihotri’s Goal and Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai Chale Amreeka.
