
Raaz has done a gross business of Rs 51.40 million (Rs 5.14 crores) on day one. The movie released in 920 screens across India.
On the other hand, Slumdog Millionaire has done a gross business of Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crores). Slumdog released with in 351 screens in India in both English and dubbed Hindi version.
While Raaz opened well across India, the reviews received by the movie are nothing to rave about. On the other hand, Slumdog Millionaire’s reviews have been very encouraging, but the film’s opening has fallen a little below expectation. Nonetheless, going the numbers above, Slumdog Millionaire’s per print average is higher than that of Raaz.
