Bollywood Group forays into television


    MUMBAI: Bollywood Group is expanding its content offerings by commencing a TV production arm with two shows, a Bollywood inspired dance, music, fashion and model show Rock Da Desiz and Whoopsi Desi, a comedy show with Rajiv Satyal. Their expansion into television is part of Bollywood Group’s strategy to develop, create and distribute content in other areas of media and entertainment.


    Leveraging the company’s core expertise in event management, Bollywood TV Production will be responsible for development of original television entertainment in order to create a multi-dimensional entertainment company.


    “Our TV production has been set up as a creative, innovative and aggressive television production company that operates on a flexible business plan, which allows us to partner with the best cutting-edge executives in the television landscape. Bollywood TV Production will also serve as a distributor and licensor of its products,” said Bollywood TV Production vice president Sharad Wala.


    “It’ll be a whirlwind of activity and the chai will be intravenous – that’ll be the rule at Whoopsi Desi,” said Satyal.
