Box Office: 2 States Nearly Touches The Fifty Crore Mark In Five Days

2 states main2 States starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor has managed to collect approximately Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crore) nett in just five days and is on it’s way to become the biggest hit of 2014.

2 States has touched the right cord with the youth and has maintained great business at the Box Office during the weekdays. One can also not negate the fact that 2 States has a huge advantage of two extra holidays besides the weekend; one being Easter and the other being an election holiday in several states.

Looking at the way the film has performed at the Box Office, Alia Bhatt thanked her fans via twitter for the success of the film and wrote, “Thank You all for all the love. So overwhelmed with the response to 2states. We do this for you and just you. Thank You and I love you.”

Aali Bhatt is on a high post the success of 2 States and is planning to take a holiday.

“Yes, I am going on a holiday to Paris and London. My mother and sister would accompany me. I want to get back to my normal life for a few days at the least. Once I return, I would resume shooting of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya with Varun Dhawan.” informed a beaming Alia.

The Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala co-produced romantic comedy film has made fabulous collection at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend as well. Directed by Abhishek Verman, 2 States was released in about four hundred screens at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend.

Other two releases of the week include Dekh Tamasha Dekh, directed Feroz Abbas Khan and Lucky Kabootar, directed by Shammi Chhabra, a romantic comedy starring Eijaz Khan and Kulraj Randhawa. Now both Dekh Tamasha Dekh and Lucky Kabootar, has had dismal collections at the Box Office.

Coming Friday, April 25, 2014 shall see the release of three films; Kaanchi, Samrat & Co. and Revolver Rani.
