Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay, which released in a clash with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, has managed to score a fair at the Box Office. The film has received a good response but the clash with ADHM has put a dent at the collections of the film. Nonetheless, the film managed to hold on well at the Box Office and the collections of the film are fair enough by the end of the week. But guess what? Post Diwali holiday, Shivaay has shown a huge growth on Monday.
Shivaay saw a low weekend but the Monday collections of the film have finally given momentum to the action thriller film. Earlier, only single screens were helping the film, now, finally, the multiplexes have come to fore. The film has collected Rs. 15.75 crore (157.5 million) nett approx on Monday, taking over all four days collection to Rs. 39.95 (399.5 million) crore nett approx.
Shivaay managed to collect Rs 9 crore (90 million) nett approx on Friday, Rs 8.25 crore (82.5 million) nett approx on Saturday and Rs. 6.50 crore (65 million) nett approx on Sunday. With a low weekend collection, Monday collections have brought the film back in the race!
Well, with the positive reviews and word of mouth publicity, the movie is expected to see a growth in the coming week. Now whether the collections of film proceed on a low scale or see a high jump only time will tell.
