MUMBAI: Romantic comedy slice-of-life film ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ directed by Maneesh Sharma, and starring Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Vaani Kapoor, has taken a decent opening weekend at the box office.
Backed by stellar production house Yash Raj Films, the film has done fairly decent business, since its release on 6 September.
As reported, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ garnered decent reviews on opening day, generating approximately Rs 64.2 million (Rs 6.42 crore) net at the box office.
Saturday saw figures in the range of Rs 76.7 million (Rs 7.67 crore)net, while Sunday’s figures stood at approximately Rs 88.9 million (Rs 8.89 crore) net.
The three day total for ‘Shuddh Desi ROmance’ stands at a respectable Rs 229.8million (Rs 22.98 crore net).
