Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, which stars Farhan Akhtar as Milkha Singh, lived up to the hype it generated pre-release. The film, which also features Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta and Prakash Raj, has taken off to a fairly good start on Day 1.

Along with paid previews, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ scored close to Rs 92.5 million (Rs 9.25 crore net) in its opening. Understandably, the film has fared better in North India, as it is based on the life of a Sikh athlete.

With positive reviews and good word-of-mouth, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is only expected to pick up over the looming weekend.
