MUMBAI: Abhishek Kapoor’s latest directorial ‘Kai Po Che’, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav, is still dominating the box office after an impressive two weeks.

‘Kai Po Che’, has opened with heartening figures of Rs 276.5 million (27.65 crore) in its first week of business. The second weekend saw a respectable business of Rs 108.5 million (10.85 crore) net.

The total business garnered by ‘Kai Po Che’ in its first two weeks is Rs 452.5 million (45.25 crore) net, which is very good, considering that the film stars three rank newcomers and is an on-screen adaptation of a book (Chetan Bhagat’s ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’).

‘Kai Po Che’ is still leading the competition at the box office, with films like the John Abraham starrer rom-com ‘I, Me aur Main’ and Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ failing to make a mark at the ticketing windows. The new release this Friday, Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Saheb, Biwi, Aur Gangster Returns’ has opened with average figures.
