MUMBAI: Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3’ is showing immense promise at the ticket counter. After a good Day 1 collection, the film saw a steady weekend.
‘Krrish 3’ directed by Rakesh Roshan, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi has made a total of about Rs 502.4 million (Rs 50.24 crore) net (Hindi only) in its 3 days at the box office.
2013 has been a year full of some terrific performances at the box office. While SRK’s ‘Chennai Express’ crushed Aamir Khan’s previously untouched highest total collection of ‘3 Idiots’, Ranbir Kapoor made his presence felt in the big league with ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’. While expectations were slightly higher from ‘Krrish 3’, crossing the Rs 500 million mark in 3 days has put the film in the Top Opening Weekend Of 2013 list:
1. Chennai Express – Rs 935 million (Rs 93.5 crore)
2. Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani – Rs 624.6 million (Rs 62.46 crore)
3. Krrish 3 – Rs 502.4 million (Rs 50.24 crore)
4. Race 2 – Rs 506 million (50.6 crore) net
5. Grand Masti – Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore)
