Box Office: Salman Khan’s Sultan Crosses The 500 Crore Mark

The film has crossed its two weekends at the box office and is still going strong. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is a wrestler based movie with a high dosage of romance.

The masses were eagerly waiting for the film since its inception. ‘Sultan’ was much hyped even before its release and the mind blowing star cast was a crowd puller. No other film competed with ‘Sultan’ and hence it got a good two-week run at the box office. The film has now crossed the benchmark of 500 crore at the box office.

The total collection of ‘Sultan’ in India is Rs. 367 crore net approx. The SalmanAnushka starrer film earned Rs.140 crore net approx. in the worldwide market. The grand total collection of the film comes to Rs.507 crore net approx.

The movie is still running considerably well at the screens. The wrestler based film is now the fourth highest worldwide earner of all times. The earning of the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is double than that of ‘Airlift’ which was the highest grosser of the year.

The movie is inching fast towards the collections of ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ though it might not be able to cross the collections of ‘Pk’. It is said that ‘Sultan’ will easily cross the 600 crore mark if it maintains its average collections in this week too.
