Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale First Day Occupancy Rate

The film that clashes with ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ has managed to pull more audience towards it from the beginning and has achieved a really great first day occupancy rate. ‘Dilwale’ has an occupancy of 65% approximately which is very strong and the film is comparatively doing great in all the regions except some regions in Mumbai and Pune. ‘Dilwale’ has opened to a very fast start and if this continues till the evening, the film will emerge as the frontrunner.

‘Dilwale’ is looking at a good advance collection for the weekend in areas such as Delhi and Mumbai where it has managed to get many good screens. Areas like West Bengal which usually do not tend to perform at all also show good performance when it comes to Shah Rukh Khan films. ‘Dilwale’ that release today on December 18, 2015 has an advance collections of around Rs. 11 crores net approx for the three day weekend in which booking has been 50% for Friday and the rest for the remaining weekend.

‘Dilwale’ naturally has an upper hand here with more star power as the film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Director Rohit Shetty also has comparatively more credibility for giving entertaining films that audiences usually prefer over historic ones like ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
