In Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani, ‘Bajirao Mastani ‘is going rock solid with Monday and Tuesday business outshining Dilwale’s collections, as the film is experiencing drop as low as 5% only. Whereas ‘Dilwale’ experienced a huge drop of 55% on Monday and on Tuesday dipped further low by 13%.

‘Dilwale’ got a collection of Rs. 21.55 crores net approx (Rs. 215 million) on its first day and on the second day there was a drop in collection as the film got Rs 19.60 crores net approx (Rs. 196 million). The film collected Rs. 23 crores net approx on Sunday and on Monday the collections dropped to Rs. 9.5 crores net approx (Rs. 95 million). The Tuesday collection is a little less than Monday making the current total to Rs. 81.75 crores net approx (Rs. 817.5 million). The first week business of Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is expected to be around 95 crores net approx which is also a figure that seems reasonable given the fall on Monday and Tuesday.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ collected Rs. 12.25 crores net approx (Rs. 122.5 million) on its opening day at the box office and went on to rake in Rs. 15 crores net approx (Rs 150 million) on its day two. On Sunday the collections rose well to Rs. 17.75 crores net approx (Rs. 177.5 million) and Monday collection was Rs. 10.25 crores net approx (Rs. 102.5 million). After the Tuesday collections the total comes to Rs. 64.50 crores net approx (Rs. 645 million) after its five days business at the box office. Ranveer Singh’s film is expected to have first week collection of around Rs. 80 crores net approx.

However in Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani, Dilwale is still leading by a huge margin as the film did wonders in first weekend and it will be very hard for Ranveer Singh’s film to surpass the total collections of Shah Rukh Khan film. The main performance of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ can be on the second week as the hype is more and ‘Dilwale’ is facing backlash due to ongoing protests.
