MUMBAI: Directed by Farah Khan’s husband, JOKER, which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles opened to empty halls.
Morning shows at few multiplexes in Mumbai had to be cancelled as not even 10 tickets (minimum sale required for a screening to start) were sold. There was absolutely no interest amongst people to buy tickets, with many still queuing up for Ek Tha Tiger.
By evening JOKER had registered on an average 15% occupancy at all screenings.
The scenario might change over weekend, depending on the family audience, but still it looks tough. Let’s wait and watch.
