MUMBAI: As BR Films’ Bhootnath gets ready to reach the finishing line, the production house is gearing up for its promotion. The company has exclusively tied up with Reliance Entertainment’s Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd to launch the film’s online games.
The online gaming portal plans to release a series of games on Bhootnath in the coming months. These games will be retailed all across the country in Reliance World cafes. All the investments in terms of marketing will be borne by Zapak.com. The movie is slated to release on 11 April, 2008.
“These games will be available on Zapak Games card, so we will have Bhootnath games on that and gamers will already have the connectivity,” Zapak COO Rohit Sharma tells Businessofcinema.com.
Talking about the returns he adds, “There is no revenue sharing; the returns will be totally ours.”
Earlier BR Films had Mauj and Hungama designing games for their film Baabul, which did fairly average. “Games always work for a movie’s promotions. These will be available in three to four months’ time,” says BR Films CEO Sanjay Bhutiani.
