Bradley Cooper Replaces Jude Law In ‘Jane Got A Gun’

Hollywood 'Hangover' star Bradley Cooper has replaced actor Jude Law as the lead villain in upcoming ‘Jane Got a Gun’ featuring Natalie Portman.

MUMBAI: Hollywood ‘Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper has replaced actor Jude Law as the lead villain in upcoming  ‘Jane Got a Gun’ featuring Natalie Portman.

Reports say that after director Lynne Ramsay abruptly walked away from the film, Law followed suit.  Apparently Jude was keen on working only with Ramsay.

Producer Scott Steindorff claimed that Ramsay did not turn up for work on the first day of shoot on 18 March, 2013. Thus a new director had to be brought in. Now, ‘Jane Got A Gun’ will be helmed by Gavin O’Connor, known for ‘Warrior’ (2011).

Apparently, when Law walked out too, the crew began looking for a replacement – someone who holds the same amount of draw in the overseas marketplace. Bradley Cooper, who was recently  nominated at the Oscars in the Best Actor category for ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ was the team’s choice.

‘Jane Got a Gun’ follows the story of a farmer’s wife (Natalie Portman) whose outlaw husband returns home, bloodied and near death after his gang (lead by Bradley Cooper) turns on him. When the miscreants reappear to finish the job, Jane must enlist the help of an old flame (Joel Edgerton) to defend her life and home.

Bradley is set to play a character named Bishop.

He is currently filming for David O Russell’s untitled project based on the real life Abscam sting of the late 70’s and early 80’s. Other than that, Bradley Cooper will soon be seen in ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’ and ‘The Hangover Part III’.
