MUMBAI: Compact Disc India has joined hands with WhiteLight Entertainment, the maker of Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List fame to produce a movie titled Playing with the Enemy.
The movie is being made on a mammoth budget of $30 million.
Based on the World War II drama, the movie is a co-production with WhiteLight Entertainment, which also has to its credit blockbusters like Minority Report, The Lost World, Twister, Casper, Rain Man, The Flintstones, amongst others. The movie revolves around a baseball player who finds redemption in teaching German Prisoners of War how to play Baseball.
The gross estimated worldwide revenues from Playing with the Enemy are $318.20 million and the net estimated income / profits are $121 million. The movie will start production in May 2008, is slated to release in the first quarter of year 2009.
Apart from this movie, the company is also working on movies like The Guru of Sex, Soccer, a 3D-animation film Soccer, and Eternal Love.
